This company has been constantly calling and harassing my adult children after they have been told to stop calling. They identify themselves as being a "law firm", by the name Lewis, Thomas and Associates. Talked to my adult son and gave "case number" (ref. #) without my knowledge, and have no consent signed by me to do so!! I am filing a complaint with our state AG's office now. I did talk to an "investigator" today who told me that Lewis, Thomas and Assoc, took over (or bought) the debt that I no longer owe. I would love file a lawsuit against them and if I had the money I would!
They call to collect on furniture I surrendered back to Conns 4 years ago after losing my job. They had no record of the surrender so I faxed them the paperwork only to be told it didn't appear to be legitimate papers.
They started threatening court so I've begun to record the calls.
this is a scam company who hacks your information from conns, and calls you threatening jail time for theft of goods. they have no legal merit to your debt, or contract. do not give information, just ask for physical address and tell them your calling the AGs office

Any law firm that has a free site that links to make your own, does not have the funding to buy anybodies debt. I'm thankful for the internet so I can investigate these ridiculous calls. Thanks for the heads up!
