Asked for owner by name (at least he researches) Mark from "Ace Industrial" Boss likes to mess with these guys so he took the call. His warehouse is having an equipment blow out sale - Yipee.. Mark needs a new career.

Received a call from this number saying PRIVATE NAME. Person asked for my husband by name[at work]..when I asked who he was all he would say is Mark for a long time. Finally said last name was Robertson. He refused to tell me who he was with or what he was calling for.
Husband took the call yesterday evening and was giving his full name and address as I was staying "STOP - what are you doing????" He waived his hand at me to quit talking. After he ended the call he said they were sending him tools. WHAT???? He said it was OK, they didn't want a credit are anything and he can always use tools. Crap..... I yelled at him to NEVER take these kinds of calls. Now I have to figure out the damage.
Caller ID said "Ace Shipping777".
This is either a debt collector looking for someone and they needed an address (we haven't had debt in years so it's not us) or some kind of scam to send something totally useless and include a bill for a ton of money. I'll refuse the package if one actually comes.
We received 5 phone calls yesterday from various numbers that are obviously associated with this scam. Two were private callers, which my call blocker nipped then they switched to 818-568-1012 and 818-561-7485 (twice).
I tried calling the last number today and got a voice mail that "Mike was in a meeting". I must say that's a rather clever use to pretend it's a legitimate company.
I'm hoping someone else can shed some light on this company.
Got a call from this number today, and the guy asked for my boss. I told him that the boss was unavailable at the time. He tried to get his cell number from me. When I asked for some info to give a written message, he got irritated and told me that he was from John Deere and refused to give me a call back number. He told me that my boss would have his number because my boss supposedly initiated contact. I asked the boss, and he said that he hadn't called John Deere.
Caller phoned a client of mine and annoying told the person he would keep calling until he got a positive answer on buying tools. Block this number using your phone company
