This is the collection agency for student loans. I called the number back and they answered "Office of student loan collections."

Or a scam.  When we tracked it, "it was a phone tree with selections, including if you got a missed call and are not interested in our services, press to be removed from our call list; sorry we couldn't help you."   Nice, huh?

This outfit has purchased a list of student loan accounts for DECEASED borrowers.  They use the last listed contact information listed on the account.  A new low in the collection industry.

They keep calling, early in the morning, late night and weekends. Everyday, several times!
