Could you post a brief account of your encounter with this caller? I received the call around noon and when I picked it up I heard a female voice saying "Hi how are you?" As if she knew who I was and that we were sort of acquaintances! When I asked who she was and requested her to introduce herself, she hung up.

As if she knew who I was and that we were sort of acquaintances! When I asked who she was and requested her to introduce herself, she hung up.
The biggest problem is that the DON"T CALL request is not honored at all. There isn't really any punishment for the perpetrators and none have been prosecuted publicly to make an example for others! We continue getting phone calls from telemarketers whom we'd asked to take our name and phone number out of their calling list.
