Received 5 calls, 2xs in 1 day, left VM stating they were the office of treasury and I would need a lawyer to call them if I did not return the call immediately since I may be involved with some type of fraud or felony. Never called and looked up number here to find almost exact same issues- strang foreign mans voice you could hardly understand and states have a blessed day and god bless each time he leaves a message. Hello- obviously has never heard of the separation of church and state clause.
There is a widespread IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers on both Canadian and USA residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

I just received a call 2-2-2015 from # 818-627-7021 from a Shawn William (with a Indian accent) stating he was from the Dept. of Legal Affairs. Saying legal action would be taken against me, to call the number back with legal representation.
I just got the same call. He said his name is Alex White-Department of ?? Affairs( I couldn't understand him). I'm not sure how he got the name of Alex White. Her certainly is not American.
