Has called my cell phone several times, when answer, no one is there. Called back and it says Verizon and that this number has been disconnect and/or changed. WTH? If its been disconnected, how is it calling and showing on my screen!!
Caller didn't leave a message on my machine and the caller id said "Wireless Caller" which usually means telemarketer/scammer since every legitimate caller I know leaves a message. So I ran 3 reverse traces using 3 different types of traces and all were blocked for a person or business name and the only information was a general location of the Sherman Oaks & VanNuys, California area using a mobile phone with the service providers of Verizon Wireless-CA and Cellco Partnership DBA Verizon Wireless-CA. This is definitely a scammer that is either spoofing and/or using a voip system to phish for personal information while running some scam. A legitimate business would never hide their identity and location from the public by blocking a trace. DON'T ANSWER AND DO NOT CALL BACK FOR ANY REASON. Block and report to the proper authorities. Phone companies should be held responsible for these types of calls since they are making money from them by providing the systems and services that these scammers use and possibly farming out numbers too.
