I thought my dad was calling from a Landline because he lives in the area and has same area code. They hung up when I said I couldn't hear them. I live in WA.
Scam-the Government (or private business for that matter) does not randomly call people and award them thousands of dollar because they are a good citizen, pays their bills on time, mows their lawn every 5 days or brushes their teeth 3 times a day. To receive a grant there is a strict process that must be followed. In addition, these clowns will have you pay an acquisition fee (maybe $250.00 or so). So they get your money and you get taken to the cleaners (you get no money). There is no free lunch, no free money and the only free cheese is in the mouse trap. Do not call them.
