recorded message (young woman's voice) saying, for my past business with them, I was to be awarded a 75% discount on a hotel stay in florida. As I have never checked into a hotel/motel, this must be a scam.
Looks like these criminals got a new number - not that we would have answered their call anyway.
Caution - this is one of the "can you hear me" calls where you are tricked into saying "yes."
It's best to never answer unknown telephone calls.
looking back - I see that these criminals call from several 818 798 telephone numbers.
