I just received a call from this #. He said he was from "Helping Hands" and was offering rooms on a cruise ship. I told him I wasn't interested and he said thank you and hung up.
Had to answer because I have job applications out everywhere and since this was a 'local' number was excited it might be a job interview.
NO! It was a educational institution (Vassar) who said I recently inquired about additional schooling. I told him I had not, but he continued with his script anyway. On the next question (what would you like to study) I told him I'm looking for a job, not to further my education. He was VERY polite, acknowledged me and hung up.
Better than the usual, but still cold call marketing.
I got the same thing. The thing is since i am really looking for a school he asked for my email and name geez. I told him im not comfortable giving any infos about myself not knowing what this is about.. and he just hang up. omg >.< i dnt feel good about this..
Me as well. Education/employment services call for me. Wouldn't listen to a word I was saying, pretended to be calling about career advancement (called twice so far), and wasn't interested in hearing that I was full empolyed with a Master's degree (well, I lied... I have a Bachelor's).
As soon as I asked to be removed from the list, she hung up.
