I suspect it is either for the fire dept. or police FOP or a political call. I don't donate to the first two because they only get 4% to 10% of what we donate. The rest goes to the telemarketers. I'm also tired of crazy people who call people to press their personal political opinion and try to get me to donate to their cause. I don't know for sure but bet it's one of these crumbs.
Caller said he was from the Asheville Firefighters Association. They had called earlier today but hung up with I answered. I tried several times to call the number and got only a busy signal each time. The thing is, someone who claims to be with the organization calls every 6-8 weeks. The phone number is always different, and you'll never see "Asheville Firefighters Association" on your caller ID. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
