These people call asking to speak with the "Shipping manager" because they have a package that was returned and they need authorization to re-ship it.
This is a scam!! If you authorize it, you will likely receive a box of junk with an enormous bill. Since you authorized it, you are liable for the bill now. If you try to return it, they will either refuse, or charge an outrageous 'restocking' fee.
If you get a call like this and aren't sure if it's legit or not, start asking questions about who they are, what the items are they are shipping, what address they tried to ship to, tracking number, etc. Usually they will just hang up on you because they are full of crap.

Same thing. Want the shipping manager. Ask for a fake name I gave them way back when so I would know who they are even if they switch numbers. Insist it is IMPORTANT!! And they need a cell phone number or a way to get in touch with this person NOW. The have to have him authorize this returned package!! It is of utmost importance!!
But not important enough to leave a message, a callback number, or answer simple questions of who they are, who they work for, who the shipping carrier was, what the reason for this fictitious package being 'returned' was... so whatever! Keep trying!
