I'm getting tons of calls that come in with an 831 area code. I think it's just added on because that's my area code . We need to be able to search numbers and see if they come up with different area codes. because I think they just switch out the area codes to try to get you on the phone . So let's say you search 219-4267 . How many other people are getting a call from that number with a different area code ??

So I called this number as a local call., the signal is busy; but it's suppose to be in my area code? so I dial with the area code and it says I must add a 1. BUT THIS IS MY AREA CODE!!!? I should be able to dial back direct? Right? I CALL BACK AGAIN with the full number and get a constant busy signal! No message was left I'm blocking it.
I have received the same call.....each time I answer and hear nothing for 10-14 seconds and then it just hangs up. I have called back a few times and received the same busy signals that other have mentioned.
So, I just got a call from this number. There was silence when I answered. I just pulled the cradle toward the back, away from my mouth and after about 30 seconds, someone finally spoke up and asked for me. "Hello, may I speak to Janet." I just kept silent, and he hung up. But to wait that long to say something? NOT! I could here the telemarketers in the background.
