Process servers DO NOT alert people they are coming to serve you documents. People who hide to avoid having to go to court by summons are generally the ones who get served most, so letting someone know your coming is bad for business to a process server. They get paid per serve and no serve means no pay.
They called my cell phone with a number that displayed as all "0". They asked for me, but uding my maiden name. Left a message stating that they are a process server and received a fax in their office today for service. They will serve me on Friday, August 11, 2017 between the hours of 3pm and 5pm either at my home or work. If I wanted to reschedule my service date or time, please call the number and reference a certain case number. Not to mention after calling me they called my husband on his cell phone using my married name. Well what they don't realize I've studied law and have dealt with filings and pleadings. This process is done professionally, not via phone in a muffled voice in a call center environment. So, I'll just wait to be served at my place of employment, which is a law firm. This should be very interesting.
Exact same situation as Romanda. Called me but it showed as "unknown" so I did not answer. Then called my husband's place of employment. They left a processor number and a number to call back saying I would be served tomorrow, Aug. 11th between 3 and 5pm. Seems like a SCAM.
