I got a call yesterday (10/8/11) from this number and my caller ID showed Mike Parrotta.....I, too live in upstate SC and have no idea who this person is....
Same man called our offices this morning. Gave his name, don't believe he gave a business name. Stated he needed to speak with the owner regarding a "Civic, not Commercial Matter". I told him that I have to screen all calls. Eventually he got tired of dodging my questions and hung up.
Receive a call at 5:30 P.M. this evening July 27, 2012 from Mike Parrotta wrote this name down from my caller ID. He said that he was from the Fire Fighters Association. He asked how I was feeling he realize that I did not want to engage in a conversation with him said don't forget to change the batteries in your smoke detector and hung up. His area code did not show up on my caller ID.However; I acquire it through the internet, and it is SC area code. I also checked my telephone directory the name, nor the number was listed. I am thinking perhaps is a cell phone number. He is probably a telemarketer and or a scammer. I was surprise when I saw that many of you had recieved the same call, and he gave each of you a different title of the organizations that he represents. I am also on the Do Not Call List. How do I report this person and to whom?
I just received a call from the number as well. He/She didn't say a word, I could hear breathing and then they hung up after the umpteenth time of my saying "Hello". Anyway to block this number cuz truth be told it was kinda creepy.
I just got the same call. He called my buissness and asked if we were located at our old address, when I gave the new one he asked for the owner. When I said I wasnt he said have a nice day and hung up. I called back, no anwser. VERY Strange!
