The old underage girl scam.  This is an extortion attempt - please do report this loser to your local PD and block his number.

Courtesy of BigA - the site he references is PlentyOfFish, I believe, although I'm sure these scammers will be on other sites too:

Under Age Girl/ Under Age Boy Scam

Yes it is an extortion scam being run on or by that site.  There are numerous number threads here with the same story.  Make a police report to your local PD.  If the calls come from South Carolina, which seems to be popular with these extortionists, make a report there as well.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

A new scam is targeting people looking for love. Crooks are using the name of a real detective to trick unsuspecting victims.

The scam targets people who use dating websites. They're tricked into thinking they've inadvertently been chatting with an underage girl, and there's only one expensive way to get out of it.

Young men are first led to believe they're chatting with an 18- or 19-year-old girl, until they get a text.

"They get a text message from an alleged detective saying that she really isn't 18 or 19 years old. She's younger," said Action News Law and Safety Expert Dale Carson.

The message names Cape Coral Detective Bennett Walker, a real detective, who according to Carson is all too aware of the scam. The message threatens arrest and criminal prosecution unless the person pays at least $700 in fines and agrees to community service.

"Which simulates probation. But it's not. And it's a scam," Carson said.

It's a scam Carson said people are falling for, if for no other reason than to avoid embarrassment.

"Particularly if you shouldn't be on a dating site. And you get caught up in something like this. The inclination is certainly going to be to pay immediately in order to avoid disclosure to someone," Carson said.

Carson said there are a few things to be leery of. First, a detective sending you a text message. Second, that detective requesting a payment via Money Gram or Western Union in order for you to avoid a criminal charge.

Think about it - if someone has actually committed a crime, the police wouldn't tell them to "pay to make it go away" - that is bribery and corruption!
