I had the same scam. The guy said his wife was a firefighter, which he doesn't have a wife or daughter. If you were to buy a MAC, wouldn't you buy a protection plan with it. This guys new number is 843-833-5062
I got a text from a person claiming to be a girl around thanksgiving. She said she wanted to trade pics and she wanted me to send her one first and when I didn't she did so I sent one back. Didn't hear from her after that. A few days later I received a cal from a guy saying it was her father and his daughter Cindy was only 15 and he had talked to his cop friend who gave him my name and mothers name( don't think a cop would give that out). He then said if I pay for his wife's mac book and hole in his dry wall he wouldn't file for my arrest, he wanted $650. I told him I can't pay that he then started asking when I get paid and how much I could pay even asking if I could do payments. I told him I got paid every other week and he said he wanted me to send it to his sister in south Carolina, saron Bishop. She has arrest record and I can't find him or his daughter by searching on internet but I have read many reports of the same thing happening to over ppl being scammed.

Yes it is an extortion scam being run on or by that site. There are numerous number threads here with the same story. Make a police report to your local PD. If the calls come from South Carolina, which seems to be popular with these extortionists, make a report there as well.
