I too got a call from 1-845-203-1677. They left a voice mail to cal 1-888-320-8649 regarding my Mac. But unfortunately, the now have a hold of my cell number because these call came to my cell. These scammers are WAY out of hand. Hang up on them and DO NOT call the 888 number back. If they want the Mac so bad, KEEP IT!
Got the call that my there have been suspicious activity trying to use my apple user id and get into my account - it was an automated call and asked to call a number right away or stay on the line...I stayed on the line. I WAS VERY SUSPICIOUS immediately of the call after they tried to get me to use a computer device and I told them I didn't have access to one (which I do) and I asked if they could guide me verbally. I asked which company was calling me and the caller said Apple. They asked to put me on hold while they get a senior tech support manager. He came on a minute later. He stated his name was Jonathan Thomas. Yes, his name likely could be this, but his accent was not of an English speaking country and the first person I spoke with had the same accent. It mimicked a call center. Total hoax. He questioned me about my devices asking questions that alerted "red flags". I told him that I highly questioned the validity of this call and I suspected that this wasn't Apple. And, he hung up and the line was dead. I called back the number and heard the same woman answer from this Apple call center and...well, bottom line. This is fake as f**k.
Left voice mail "we seriously recommend you to call 888 320 8649. Request not to use computer or ? devices before speaking to our certified technician.
They called me saying they were from Apple.... that I was having some problems with my iCloud. They asked me not to use any of my devices until I speak to a tech! I immediately hung up the phone. The area code claims to be from Delaware... but Delaware is a 302 area code! Beware it's a scam!!
