This was an illegal call, using 847-227-2102, from a nasty debt collector, specializing in medical bills. They also use several other numbers in the same exchange, 847-227-XXXX.
I don't talk with this people. I followthe GOLDEN RULE: NEVER TALK WITH A DEBT COLLECTOR.
One has nothing to gain, and a plenty to lose! Ignore all their illegal threats.
I was called by an automatic system. I pressed 1 to find out who they are and what they want. This female kept asked me to verify myself, she called me, so I told her I would not, WHO are you I asked? Why are YOU calling me? What bill? She refused to give me any information she I would not verify who I was. I told her, I do not give out my information to someone who calls me. She is it was their policy. I said, I understand that is your rule but I am not giving you anything about me. Then she said she knows all about me, can I verify my birthdate, I once again said the same thing. She got an attitude with me and said they would call back at a later date and HUNG UP on me. I had to laugh because what makes her think I would decide to share my information later? HA! Welcome to the world of BLOCKED numbers.
