recd a text message.  YourXXXX credit card is blocked.  Please call 847-347-1400. Message came from [email protected]

i received a similar text. called my phone carrier and they said it is a form of phishing. He said it's best not to call and delete the message.

My elderly mother got a text msg yesterday (how she figured to read it is beyond me) in regards to her credit card account security being compromised, with instructions to call 847-382-1400.  She called and got an answering machine for "O'Donnell Law Firm".  She later realized it was probably a scam and called me.  I called the number today and the girl at the "law firm" said their phone lines had been hacked yesterday and they were also "victims".  I am registering a complaing with the Illinois Atttorney General.  http://www.illinoisattorneygeneral.gov/consumers/index.html
