We are in Charleston, SC and received a text message on one of our cell phones saying that our debit card isssued from a SC bank had been deactivated and that to reactivate the card we needed to call this number. We have no accounts with this particular bank and the number we were told to call is located in Illinois. We did try to call the number from our land line, but there was no answer.

I live near Charleston and also received two texts telling me to call 847-387-6747 and 847-397-2787. I don't have any accounts with First Federal either, and the numbers are located in IL. When I googled the 2787 number,it came up as a fitness club. I hate scammers.
got three of these texts all within 20 minutes or so of each other. Note to all never even call these numbers back if you don't know them, call your actual bank itself when aviable!!!
