I believe this Hodges directory is a scam site. I never had telemarketing calls and after Googling my own number on that site, I was inundated with telemarketing/scam calls. I've had my number over 15 years and that info on that site was completely wrong, so it's not that its outdated, it's just fake info to get you to Google active numbers. I believe they are collecting active numbers to sell to telemarketers/scammers.
Called my cell phone in Rhode Island at 4:15 PM on Jan. 17, with no message. The number is listed in the Hodges Directory under someone on Timber Lane in Chicago, but according to Google Maps, there is no Timber Lane in Chicago. Does anyone know what the Hodges Director is?

If this Hodges Directory (http://hodges-directory.us/) is the site you are talking about it looks to be a very incomplete user created phone directory lookup. I glanced thru my local area code and searched for known published numbers on the site and not a one was listed (good for all of us). I would just block the number if you have the ability. If not, just don't answer it and send it to VM. Anytime someone calls this many times and never leaves a message it is obviously not important and usually a scam/telemarketing call. Talking to these folks at all is a bad thing as it acknowledges someone is on the other side of the line and gives them the opportunity to sell your number as an active number to other scammers.

895-6675 Is the number that called me. I answered and the woman knew my name and wanted me to confirm my birthday. I asked who was calling and why and she said it was a personal business matter and refused to tell me anymore. I hung up and blocked the number. On the Hodges directory that phone number has a woman's name and an address just a few blocks away. I'm piecing together that scammers use phone numbers that aren't traceable...the nearness of the address and the unknown are concerning me.
Hodges is extremely unreliable and where they get their information is completely unknown. In most cases, getting information off the net is also unreliable due to the fact that people move, change numbers and web sites fail to update, as well as caller ID spoofing. Please read William's post.
