Caller from this number claimed to be from Cook County Sheriff's Department looking for donations for the "Special Olympics". When we asked if there was a website we could go to for more info, he just said he'd call back.....which he just did. Didn't answer. Didn't leave a message. Other sources online have given many different requests from this number....none of them from Cook County Sheriff's Dep. Caller ID said it was from Dundee IL. Guessing it is a pretty ballsy scam, what with impersonating a cop and all.
This number calles me EVERYDAY at teh same time (9:45am). I answer and they hang up! When I call back, it just rings and rings and rings. This is so annoying and a waist of time!!
I got a call from this number, and they didn't leave a message, but I HAVE been getting nightly calls for about a week from the "Cook County Sheriff" asking for a donation. I always tell them I'm busy, but they keep calling back. At least they're persistent, but WAY annoying.
