This was an automated call from Meier stores regarding a Meier Mastercard that was supposedly sent to me, requesting that I activate the card. It also gave a toll-free (866) number to call for card activation and another number to call if I did not have such a card, which I do not. Meier stores are not even in my area. Another option was to press 2, which I did. The customer service guy was helpful but could not find an account attached to my telephone number or my name. He appeared to be legitimate. He did ask for my SS# at one point but continued helping me after I declined to give it.
