"Are you still in the market for Health Insurance?"
When sharing with the caller that the call set-up was obviously a scam - that I've never been in the market for such insurance - the caller/seller took a sarcastic tone; and, shared with me that I got my facts wrong. He also shared that the company that he is representing is not a scam company.
I shared with him that if he was in the business of checking facts, he should have checked the fact that I'm on the do not call list - and, that it would be a great service to all of us who are on this list if companies like his would please stop calling with these types of scams. He then said (again, sarcastically) that he was sure that he made more money than I do (a weird reply for a serious, non-scam kind of company, don't you think?), and insisted that the company was not scamming people.
So, folks, growing tired of the interchange - I sunk to his sarcastic level; and, I replied, "Well - I feel confident that you do make more money than I do... by scamming people." Only then did he promise to take me off the list.
