this is from a place called Resurgence Legal. They have been harassing me for years. they filed a judgment against me in 2006. they had my bank account frozen, yet never wrote me a letter telling me this was going to happen. Neither did my bank at the time, so I was negative $2,000+ after my rent was paid. the bank knew the account was frozen, but continued to let me withdraw money and pay bills. I was unaware of the frozen funds. they did this 1 week before the holidays in December. It was an old Citibank debt. I tried to pay them off and then was laid off. I started paying them again in 2009 when I started work again. I have been paying $67 per month and the balance never goes down because of the interest that accrues every day. i have asked them over the years to please waive some of the interest and fees and have always been told (Conrad Noles is the attorney I always spoke to) that they would have to wait until the balance went down knowing it was never going down. I missed June and July payments and was told on Monday by the HR dept at work that they served them with a wage garnishment and want $375 per paycheck which would end with me on the street unable to pay my rent. these people are ruthless. they make their money from other peoples misfortunes. basically they either buy the accounts from the companies or they represent them. I have seen blogs on them before.
