I received a call from someone indicating that my doctor requested that they call me to provide pain medication. I asked what kind of medication is provided over the phone? They said it was topical cream. So I asked what doctor requested this? They said that they did not have that form in front of them, and then asked for my insurance information. I said if my doctor contacted you, he would have my information, since he is my doctor. Then they asked for my address. I said that would be in my medical records from my doctor, who he just told me had contacted him. This went back and forth and my insurance info was requested a total of 6 times. I asked for his web cite and provider licence to dispense medication and bill insurance companies, and he hung up.
