I believe this to be apart of a segment of "Anonymous'" efforts in the world; relative of "gang-stalking" and "corporate/community policing" and/or "justice group/s" acts. The point is not that you call their number - their point is to frighten, intimidate, etc - not even remotely answer the phone number they provide. The timing of the calls for me in my life are unique and the perpetrators have/are completely full of themselves in the way they manage their tactics.
They say they are the IRS but whenever I call them back and mention the police or Feds I get hung up on! This is a scam! The IRS contacts you by mail not by phone! At least that's been my experience. They said they've filed a suit against me, they say a warrent has been issued for my arrest. They call from several different phone numbers. I'm so sick of these phone calls! I always look up the phone numbers and it always says its a telemarketer with several hundred complaints!
I just received a call from this number and the guy barely spoke English and his name was Officer Joxn and stated I owed $5,200 in pending taxes. #1 His phony accent gave him away, #2 he's in a call center and I hear people speaking behind him #3 I get my taxes done professionally every year and have the documents to prove it #4 IRS does not contact through call centers. SCAM! I threatened to report their number and his name to the police and he hung up on me. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!
