Just got off the phone with them. It was Victor from the Fraternal Order of Police looking for their annual donations. The number comes up unlisted. I was unfortunately coaxed into giving last year while my Husband was overseas serving our country. When I neglected to pay the invoice the day I received it I was contacted immediately and twice after that followed by a nasty-gram wondering why I was holding up their their administration people who couldn't close out their books. They treated me like I was a deadbeat who would pay my debt and didn't leave me alone until I did. We've requested to be taken off the list.
I received calls from this number for several weeks in a row at about 6:30 each evening, finally got sick of it and made the mistake of answering the phone, they addressed me by my first name, as if we are old aquaintances. Bottom line-they want money, I just said no thanks and hung up, they called again and again and again for the next several days. I don't answer the phone now, I just let it ring. I am on the do not call list but it doesn't seem to keep the calls from coming.
