Mr.Rieger the same site (pxforce.net) hit my card this month for $7.90 and the email address associated with the order ([email protected]) is also a bogus email so i am having to cancel my card.
I was on my IPod and checking out apps. I clicked on this just to see what it was. The next thing I knew I had a $2.49 charge on my debit card. I didn't even give them the number or order anything! I think we should contact Apple and see if they can pull the app.
If you haven't already canceled the card, you should go ahead and do so. Most banks will be able to individually approve debits that are pushed through the card. Waiting leaves you open to additional misuse of the card.
This seems to me to be the smartest scam ever: take a few bucks. Most folks won't notice. If they do, tell them you'll give it back to them (and maybe even actually give it back). At which point, the CC companies and most consumers say "hey, no harm, no foul", and they go back to their work.
Never was called by this number, however I was looking at my and my husbands bank account and noticed a $4.90 charge that neither I nor my husband knew about. So I tried to call the number given on our account and all I got was a voice mail stating the line was busy and to email the company. I called my bank right away and had my husbands card cancelled because that was the card they used. The bank did credit our account. I know it is only $4.90, but I believe it is a test to see if we are paying attention to our accounts then they come back and take more. If you think about it, if they do this to enough people they are making some pretty good, easy money. It really makes me angry that I work very hard for the money I place in my bank account and some lazy idiot is scamming so many of us. I hope they get caught! If anyone knows more about these idiots please let me know through this website. Maybe together we can find a way to have them found, charged and convicted of fraud!?
