This number had the same prefix as my cell phone, so I answered it thinking it was somebody I knew. It wasn't. It was some recorded message stating that I recently stayed in one of their resorts. I own a motorhome and haven't stayed in a resort in 20 years, so they must be really digging back in the records or they are LIARS and it's a pestering scam of a telemarketer call. I would have to say the latter. I researched about telemarketers using the same prefix as your phone to get you to answer. I don't know how they do it, but it's called "spoofing". I have blocked this number and have quit the practice of answering any call from my prefix. If it's somebody I know, they'll just have to leave a voicemail for me to call them back.
