I was in the house today, and the doorbell rang. I went to the backdoor and no one was there. I then went to the front door, and noticed a strange man carrying a file and some envelopes. I didn't open the door. He eventually left. Saw him get in a white car and leave. When I went to get the mail, there was a note on my mailbox, which gave me name, the date, the time he was here, 1st attempt was checked, and the man's name was Andy Hinton, with a number 850-591-7878. I know it can't be from the post office. Been googling everything to see who this guy is. I do not want to open the door for him. Is any of this legit?
"... the information is not mailable because of the sensitive nature and the health questions that are required to in order to qualify."
That is BS. The main reason you don't send it through the mail is because the recipient might think it is junk mail and toss it. The next reason is the recipient might decide they don't want to do business and your job is to persuade the recipient to sign a contract. But you were careful not to say that to us, right? And another reason is to prevent the recipient from comparing your information with the information from another insurance company. The "health questions" are information you are trying to pry out of the potential client.
I could go on and on with more snark. The main complaint people have is you are on their property but not fully identifying WHY you are on their property, you are just leaving a note with your name. That's as bad as a Caller ID with just your name and you don't leave a voice mail or recording with your business information.
People worry about strangers coming onto their property due to the fact that burglars and thieves "case the joint" and that's what your behavior looks like.
That is the case in every state. He however is trying to make it sound like these are some kind of "special" state regulated insurance policies. Every business in America is regulated to some extent. So if we go by "Andy's" feeble thinking, we could have state regulated apples at the grocer, state regulated gas at the gas station, etc. etc.
Mr. Andy leave flyers and beats on my door sometimes twice in a week. Then once a month. I will not ever open the door. You look like a freak. We live in a scary world and you think I'm gonna open the door for the likes of you? Deception is your game and I'm on to you.
