Called yesterday while I was out. Diverted by a service I subscribe to that intercepts robo-dialed calls (rhymes with SlowNoHobo). This is the third number using that same ID. (I would list the other two, but that seems to guarantee that my contribution will never get posted, so you'll have to discover the other numbers on your own.) Again, since Suspected Scam or something similar is not an option under "Call Type," I will leave it saying "Unknown," since "Non-Profit" is obviously not accurate (they keep most of the money they collect, which is profit), and Telemarketer is nowhere near what they are up to.
Caller ID says "BREAST CAN SF". They leave no message.
I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number). Their outgoing message is, "Hi, you have reached the customer service line for the Breast Cancer Survivor's Foundation. The reason we are calling today is for our fundraising drive. This call may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance. If you'd like this number placed on our do-not-call list, please, press 1 now. If you need further assistance, please, press 2 now." (I never use a firm's do-not-call list as it can actually make things worse) The message is a decent quality computer generated female voice; this makes me think the caller has difficulty sounding like an American.
I googled their name. There is a group by that name in New Jersey; that group is reported to give a whopping 0.04% of their funds to breast cancer. This name seems generic enough to be anyone. This also makes it harder to see if they are legit or not. I lean to the latter. I can't seem to find them on charitywatch.org or charitynavigator.org which is again suspicious.

You do have consumer rights under the FTC's TSR to demand placement on their internal do not call lists.
Thanks for the postings. 800notes is my go-to for checking on suspicious incoming calls. Since I don't typically answer calls from unknown numbers (unless they are in an area code where I might be expecting a call back from a particular client contact), I don't get to post definitive telemarketing or scam efforts. But I certainly appreciate everyone else's efforts.
