Seems to be a newspaper re-subscriber number as others posted. As a long time sub to the Panama City, FL "News Herald" I canceled last month. They turned into a tabloid type paper filled with "GOTs", "Orange is new Black", "WWE", etc. as news. 50% of space is ads. Price jumped $20 a year this time and had the nerve to charge an extra 75 cents for the Thanksgiving issue to pay for the extra "black friday" ads. I don't DO black friday! No way to opt out on that so I canceled. $200 a year for tabloid news is too much.
Trying to sign me(you) back up as a newspaper subscriber. I cancelled them a year ago as the price rose to $220 a year PLUS an extra fee for black friday ads.I don't do black friday and the paper has become almost a tabloid with stories about "Orange is the New Black", GOTs, WWE, etc. Junk.
The call was an attempt to sell and re-activate my subscription to the Panama City newspaper...it is worthless and thin...except on Sunday. The News is already a day or two old. Very few worthwhile local news stories. Generally the same news broadcast on television. Get this, the paper charges extra for holiday subscriptions and deducts the amount from your subscription. Thus a six month subscription is really not six months after the deductions.....Screw You Panama City Herald.....go out of business already!
