I agree this is a spoof. I live in NJ and neighbors have complained about hang-up calls. I wonder at times if people are checking to find which homes are empty and at what time.
Robocaller that claims to be from "ACE electric" calling about "your electric bill". I don't have ACE nor have I ever heard of them. Seems to be the same as the mortgage scam since it says press 3 to be removed or press 5 to talk to someone. They call every day from a different number. Here's the numbers they've used:
They might not be spoofed, they could be coming in over an international line and the Caller ID doesn't know how to display it. It could be coming from a call center in Laos (which has an international calling code of 856, followed by a 2 digit area code and a 6 digit number), and is being "compressed" into a domestic format...
