Caller said, "This call is being recorded (blah, blah, blah).." Then asked for Accounts Payable regarding our Staples account. She would not provide any more information. I was skeptical and asked if there is a contact name. Surely they have a name and email to reference. She continued to say she could not tell me the details unless she spoke to the person who handles the account or the company owner. Still skeptical, I went ahead and made the transfer the caller to AP. After speaking to AP, all she wanted was to confirm the address and phone number. Typically, our vendors know who their contact is. After looking at the comments, I'm curious to know why she needed to confirm this information if she is calling on behalf of Staples and is easily found on our website.
