Been receiving threatening calls from this company to my cellphone for a while, always robocalls claiming some legal issue involving my ssn. Today I accidentally answered and ended up talking to them. They claim to be a group called KG group which is some sort of mediation group for some payday loan company. I asked for a debt validation and they say they will send it to me but I have never heard of the company they are collecting for nor do I think I actually owe the money. I guess we'll see when and if they send the debt validation letter. I was unable to obtain their address from the operator I spoke with but did give her my attorney's information. I Have been unable to find any other information about this company online and with no address I'm inclined to believe they are not a real company. I have never had a legitimate debt collector try so hard to avoid giving me their address. I remained calm and polite and so did the operator but she just wouldn't give me any information to verify that they are a real company. I did get her to say that the manager would call me tomorrow with their address though, I guess we will see. Maybe my attorney can get to the bottom of it for me.
