Received a call from NJ. ....some broken English person saying something about my failure to pay taxes. .......total [***]. ......told the immigrant to sue me.......
Another the-treasury-department-has you under-indictment scam. Once again, the message is garbled (sounds like a Comcast customer service rep.) To insure that I "got" the message it is repeated in its entirety for a total of 3 messages. Appropriately enough it is April 1st.
Call from Officer Tony Graham (#11345) in Legal Affairs from the US Treasury. Claiming there is a warrant on my name for tax evasion. I said I did not receive anything through US mail. Caller claimed it was mailed to me and told me my address. He claimed he could not send any more notices through US mail because I contacted them by phone. I said that is not how the IRS works. They send notices through the mail. I said I already filed my taxes and received my refund and there is no basis for this claim. The caller hung up the phone a couple of times when I called to ask questions.
