The caller said he was calling for the New Jersey VFW Veterans Group. He wouldn't let me tell him that I wasn't interested, and that I wanted him to remove my number from his call list. Every time I started to talk, he got louder and kept on reading his script. I hung up on him. I wouldn't donate to them now, even if I wanted to.
Did not recognize number so I didn’t pick up, even if the answering machine was engaged, caller doesn’t leave a message. I’ve also received VFW solicitation calls from 609-373-1934, tried to ask this caller to remove my name from their list, he abruptly hung up before I could finish my sentence. Yes-they are very rude.
Received call beginning October during evening; was put on hold as soon as I picked up. When person finally picked up he claimed to be from a NJ homeless group of some sort. I remained quiet, left the call on speaker phone while google-ing the number and see that the number is also listed as a fax line for a country club (?). He finished his little speech (I hadn't listened...) and then he loudly asked ARE YOU THERE? I hung up.
went straight to looking up the number which is a fax #. spoke to a concerned employee who will look into this immediately. someone is abusing that company's number for their own use. suggested she look on the website as to what people are posting that leads back to their company's website.
