Sounds like a scam to me.

got a message and sent him back 4000 sms in under 3 mins.  I will fry his phone.  The cellphone number is now off.  Don't play with cracker....I tweak phones for a hobby.

All you probably did is harass someone whose phone number had been spoofed. These SMS spamming [***] don't typically use their actual phone number.
