Called on my house phone, once with this number and once with another number. Something about IRS suing me. Since the message was as generic as can be, clearly spam. Unfortunately the other number was accidentally deleted from the answering machine before I got home from work.
Called on my house phone, once with this number and once with another number. Something about IRS suing me. Since the message was as generic as can be, clearly spam. Unfortunately the other number was accidentally deleted from the answering machine before I got home from work.
Been getting calls for last several days on my cell about getting sued from the IRS. Returned call from different phone and here is what transpired: the guy who picked up first of all had a heavy accent, possibly Indian, and said "hello", not the name of the business or entity (first red flag), couldn't tell me who I was from my last name nor what his business was that I was returning the call in regard to (next red flag), but asked for full name and DOB and started to request additional, info but I insisted that he tell me more about himself, and who he legitimately was. He only gave his first name and reiterated what I had already said, not any more info on himself nor what his "business" was really trying to accomplish. Clearly, this is a scam, as I'm certain that the IRS trains their staff on how to speak to citizens on business matters, and that there is also NO reason for me to even receive this call.
