The website says "the call center is outsourced". It sure is!!! Apparently to Borneo! Received a call on a boy (six years later, a man) who lived with us for a year while he was in high school. He was my son's best friend then, and lived with us while his parents were going through a divorce. This has been a long time ago, but apparently not long enough for the statute of limitation to kick in. This kid has been gone for more than five years, but he used us as a reference for all of his credit transactions and has never, apparently, paid a bill in his life. I don't know where he is now, but I get at least three calls a week looking for him. I must say, Mrs. BPS has the most unintelligible work force in the bill collector pantheon. They mangled his name so badly that I honestly had no idea who they were asking for. So far, I have been able to get some of the collection calls to stop by notifying the Better Business Bureau in the collector's official location. This even worked with Northland Group, one of the most tenacious. As I explained, this boy is long gone from our area, we don't actually know his family or how to get hold of them, I'm not a relative, we didn't sign any of the notes and I didn't give him permission to use us as a contact, and I'm in no position to help them collect his debt. Mrs. BPS is new to us and uses the most belligerant and ignorant call force of any of the collection agencies. These people may think they speak English well, but they don't and it's incredibly annoying.
