These people call all the time. Most often looking to expand or use other people in the company to get their services out there.
Since this time they were kind enough to indicate they were calling regarding 'internal IT project' services, I offered several means to reaching out to the IT department directly (based on our company's policy regarding outside vendor requests) but they refused.

A guy called asking for one of our IT employees, and I explained to him that she works internationally so I have no way of transferring him. He asked me if this was typical. We are a global company, so most of our employees work outside of the U.S. and if he needs to reach an employee that works internationally, he needs to contact their local office.
