Message Immediately says to press 1 for English 2 for Spanish to hear the message. I hung up afraid that pressing a number would authorize something of which I was unaware. I have perfect credit but apparently the person who had this phone number prior was a deadbeat, so it's possible that it was another debt collector. No matter how many times i tell them I have had this number for 9 months and it's not me, they still keep calling, I'm thinking of changing my number again and hoping for better luck, UGH!
I just got a call from them. I pressed 1 and was connected to a collections agency. They said anything I said could be used in the collection of a debt. I hung up immediatly. I have PERFECT credit and have no outstanding bills. I think they are searching the phone directory for certain names since my name is a common one.
This number just called me and the automated speaker said to press 1 if I was said person (stated name), I pressed 1 because I wanted to see who it was. It then put me on hold (played music) and said someone would be with me shortly. The automated voice came on again and said to hold, someone would be with me shortly. About 20 seconds later, the music stopped, the line cut, and it gave me a busy signal sound, just faster. (like a disconnected call)
