Got a call from this number from a male with an Asian Indian accent who lied about being a representative from Bank of America and wishes to discuss my "recent mortgage application." There is no such application.
I have received numerous calls from Asian Indian males discussing this same alleged mortgage, but under different mortgage company's names that used different phone numbers in the 856 area code. During those previous calls, I threatened to drive to the nearest police station, which happened to be a NJ State Police barracks, and filed a complaint. During the drive to the barracks, I still had someone on the phone from this alleged mortgage company, all of the while warning them that I was driving to tell the police about these harrassing calls. Even so, he was still trying to get my personal information from me. He did eventually hang up.
The call from 856-740-1736 was done with a tone in his voice that indicated that he was really trying to convince me that he was from Bank of America so that I would ultimately give in and provide my personal information. As soon as I heard that same accent that was on the previous calls from the other numbers, I interrupted him and asked him whether he remembered that I already went to the police about these calls. He immediately hung up.
This number is a landline that originates from the Haddonfield central office from MCI Metro/Ats.
I too recieved a call fromm this number but did nnot answerit. I looked it up in a reverse search and found that it is on Kings hwy at Potter st. in Haddonfield NJ
I received a call from 856-470-1736 on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009 at 4:33 pm. It only rang a few times and I didn't answer but worked in that area so I did a reverse look up and found this site. The call ID only said Haddonfield, NJ. I didn't know this type of site existed. Good idea!
From working in the area I know that exchange (470) is not the norm.
