Yep- Still going. This guy is phishing. Just got a text today asking for my data so he/they could send a money order for my craigs post. Shame I have to pull my number from the ad.. Kharma is a bear my friend... and it will, come... to... get.... you....
Hopefully you read the previous posts to see how the scam works.
Suggestion:
Ask him to send an USPS money order, and ONLY an USPS money order.
You can then bring that MO to the post office to see if it is genuine, and use it to pay the shipping on the package.
If the MO is phony, do not ship the package, but give the MO (along with the envelope in which it came) to the postal employee, so they can pursue the faker.
Same story here. Found me on Craigs List and sent me money order saying his assistant mistakenly sent to much and wanted me to wire him the money back. I then contacted MoneyGram and they told me they were fraudulent MO's. Local Police told me the same thing. Fraudulent Money order.
Yep...contact about Craig's list item I have for sale...I work for a company that deals with money orders and Western Union...told him the ad says cash only...no response back. Not getting one over on this girl!
