Claim to be a "Law Firm" named Skylar Markim and they are collecting for past due... Asked if they were actually a "Law Firm" and they replied they were a collection company.
This company called about an old CC debt while stating that they are a law firm.
After asking them, they did admit to being a debt collector. Apparently they buy old
junk debts, then try to collect on them. They will try & take you to court. Basic things like demanding
proof of original debt with your signature accepting terms of CC, as
well as demanding to see that they have legally acquired the debt & have adhered to all
Fair Collection practices while trying to collect should keep you out of court.
