I received the call as well and didn't answer...many thanks to you for posting and for sharing information. I check 800notes every time I receive a call from an unknown number and everyone's postings give me an immediate understanding of date and scammer.
And yet another call from these scammers. Did not answer, they hung up after 3 rings. It's sad that they call so often I now actually recognize this number.
Sadly I can't block calls, so I have to put up with it. Grrrrr...
Got a call from them - Said they were police benevolent association. I answered in a foreign language. The responses of the "person" on the other end did not seem like a person, more like that of a machine programmed to respond to certain phrases (That I did not give them).
