I receive several phone calls a day from this number asking for somebody named Arturo. I am not Arturo. I do not know Arturo. These calls come in on my business cell phone. This has been going on for over a month. I have told the people repeatedly that they have the wrong number and they always "confirm" my phone number and promise to take my number out of their database. About an hour later, I get another call.

Got a call at work from some guy with a terrible Indian accent. He asked for a guy I worked with. Couldn't understand what he said his name was and had to ask for business name at least 3 times (CIT). He wasn't in, so I told him I could tranfer him to his voice mail, but he absolutely refused(got real snotty about it) and told me to leave this number. ok what message? NO MESSAGE, just have him call this number. What was your name again? NO NAME is nessary just have him call this number.
Well unsurprising, my coworker nether knew them nor called back. We've had several foreign telemarketers ask for people that never worked here. I think they just go down a list of common names and call people.
By confirming your number, you have told them that it is a good number to call. They can then sell your number to other companies. NEVER confirm your number to somebody you dont know. They make up to a dollar or more for each number they generate for sell. If it is somebody you dont know, hang up or sometimes I do answer as the local police dept., this gets them to hang up and not call back. Good Luck
