A caller from this number also called me. Caller ID states it was a "local caller".
He also said "Hello ---- are you there? Hello.... Hello.... are you there?" Not realizing that he's talking to an answering machine.
The guy actually knew my wife's name and asked for her. When I asked who was calling, he hung up. When I called the number back, got an answering machine that made it sound like it was a biz, but didn't give the business' name. I'm from upstate ny so also thought it was strange he was calling from the Philly area, where I used to live
Just received same call. He said he was collecting for the National Police Association or something like that. I told him that he was scamming, but he just continued to read from the same script. I hung up.
P.S. I live in AL and the Caller I.D. listed the call as "Local Call Area".
