Called twice today, left no message. I'm SO done with recruiters it doesn't even matter if it's a scam or not. They are all pretty much worthless. All they do is jerk you around ("Can you send a clean copy of your resume" WTF are you LOOKING AT?) and then drop the matter like it's on fire. Complete time wasters.
First he called me from a blocked number. When I didn't answer he called back from this number and left a voicemail I could hardly understand. HEAVY accent and a LOT of background noise.
It is indeed a recruiter. Company is called VUI. I talked to a different recruiter at this number. However when the recruiter first called I could not hear him either. He was not talking very loud and he had a very heavy accent. I had to google the number 856-842-1988 to make sure it was not a telemarketer. I finally did talk to the recruiter, but if someone leaves me a message where I can hardly hear the person talking I am less likely to call them back. At least the recruiter sent me an email and then I realized that he was not a telemarketer.
Recruiter spam. Called to discuss a job a thousand miles away when I specifically have in my Monster or Dice profiles that I am not willing to relocate. Why would anyone do business with these people?
Today, the name was Amit Kumar, with Venture Unlimited Inc. Tomorrow, it will be a different name, for a different job a thousand miles away.
